Quigan Classic Race Day Fundraiser
For Kidney Research

Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund representatives had fantastic day at the Quigan Classic (7 August 2022), hosted by St Treas Ballymaguigan GAA Club.

The family fun event was a great success, raising much needed funding for Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund in in remembrance of Nuala Mulholland – a kidney transplant recipient.

Nuala worked as a nurse from 1969 until she had to reluctantly retire in 2002 for health reasons, including chronic renal failure.

However, after a successful kidney transplant in 2013 she never looked back. She was very much an advocate for kidney research and organ donation.

Nuala sadly passed away on 22 March 2022 aged 69 from liver failure.

Her daughter Emma commented, “Mummy would have been delighted money has been raised in her memory for a cause that was so close to her heart.”
