First Recipient of the Janet Greeves Legacy Training Grant

Tiernan Coulter, a recent graduate from the Queen’s University of Belfast, is the first ever recipient of the Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund Janet Greeves Legacy Training Grant.

For his undergraduate degree in Human Biology, Tiernan completed his dissertation project on kidney disease. Tiernan undertook his dissertation under the supervision of Dr Claire Hill and Professor Amy Jayne McKnight.

The Janet Greeves Legacy Training Grant allows Tiernan to continue his training, creating an 8-week summer studentship, where Tiernan will develop a wide range of technical lab skills that will be of benefit to him while studying his Master’s degree in Genomics. The studentship will focus on Exploring New Approaches for Telomere Associations with Kidney Disease.
