Michael Runs the London Marathon in Support of NI Kidney Research Fund
This weekend, one of our incredible supporters, Michael, is lacing up his running shoes and heading to the streets of London to take part in one of the world’s most iconic races — the TCS London Marathon — all in aid of the Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund (NIKRF).
Michael has been training hard over the past few months, committing not just to the physical challenge of 26.2 miles, but also to raising awareness and funds for kidney research here in Northern Ireland. His dedication is a powerful reminder of the impact individuals can have in supporting life-changing research and treatment for those affected by kidney disease.
“I wanted to run the London Marathon for a cause close to home — supporting kidney patients and helping to fund vital research that could one day change or even save lives,” Michael shared.

The money raised through Michael’s fundraising page will directly support NIKRF’s ongoing work, including:
-
Funding innovative kidney research projects
-
Supporting local healthcare professionals in nephrology training and development
-
Helping improve treatment and care for kidney patients across Northern Ireland
We’re incredibly proud of Michael and grateful for his efforts. His commitment, both on the course and in his fundraising, is truly inspiring. Whether you know someone affected by kidney disease or simply want to support a great cause, you can help Michael reach his fundraising goal.
