Using the ADAPT Guidance to Refine a Video Educational Series for Kidney Transplantation and Living Donation
3. What inspired you to pursue research in this field?
As a Research Fellow working in the dialysis unit, I recognised a psychosocial gap in practice.
4. Have there been any surprising findings so far?
Feedback on the resource has been positive throughout the co-design process.
Of note, several people have contributed their time to this project as a means to give back something to the Belfast renal team.
5. What do you hope your research will achieve?
Transforming complex medical information can make it more accessible and engaging, improve information retention, and effectively address diverse learning needs. I hope this resource contributes to improved patient experiences and longer term patient outcomes.
6. Any advice for those considering a career in kidney medicine or research?
There remains much to be done, from developing new drugs to addressing psychosocial issues, and your work could drive comprehensive advancements in both treatment and patient care.
